 Pear Tree Peace community Economic Development is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves the Hertford County, N.C. area and other counties in North Carolina. The organization was founded in 2013 By Pamela King and Brenda Williams natives of Murfreesboro, N.C. The corporation's purpose is multifaceted with a focus on economics, education, cultural health and quality of life outreach services. The program is year-round with a focus on creation and support of economic growth opportunities to improve the quality of life for participants. 

 ln November 2019, Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development has aided families during different seasons of the year in different counties in North Carolina. Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development offers service to students K-12 through educational programming designed to provide individualized and small group tutoring and remediation. The organization helps parents that need support in life skills management, GED classes and help with reading skills or filling out job applications ln Hertford County, North Carolina. The goals for Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development are to service the unskilled, minimally skilled and unemployed adults and teenagers in different regions of North Carolina. Also, to offer services to low-income families, homeless individuals, displaced agricultural and manufacturing laborers in rural, underdeveloped communities. Since 2019 Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development has served 16 families in North Carolina through outreach events. The corporation's purposes include the implementation of programs that provide food assistance, counseling, job skills training, and healthcare services outreach. Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development is Ied by founders, Pamela King and Brenda Williams, an educator with over 30 years of experience in education and mentoring in the local school system" The board of directors of Pear Tree Peace Community Economic Development are from different backgrounds with knowledge of underdeveloped communities. Together they have over 50 years of experience in education, real estate, accounting and marketing research.
